Spelling s-p-e-l-l-i-n-g Spelling

Fridays may be the most anticipated day of the week, but at the same time, for some kids, it may be the most dreaded. Why? Friday usually means they will have a spelling test. As a kid, I found that practicing my words every single day, right up to Friday morning while on my way to school, really helped me do my best.

Back then, I used good old pencil and paper to practice. But now, with so much available online, your kids can practice with online spelling games. They can even add their own spelling words or use some of the lists already available.

After playing a few spelling games, your kids may start looking forward to their spelling tests each Friday!

If you live in a place where it snows, keep yourself busy on snow days, by playing weather games or listening to a few songs about weather, like the hurricane song or learn about the sound that lightning causes with the thunder song.

Where in the World?

One of my favorite subjects in school was geography. I loved learning about different places all over the world. I even created a list of places I wanted to visit.

If you also like learning about different countries or if you want to become a better geography student, try your hand at a few geography games. We’ve got them for a number of places. We have Africa games, Australia games, North America games and more!

While we’re on the topic, do you know what the second-largest continent is? You’ll find the answer below. Don’t cheat!

The second-largest continent is Africa, and in case you’re wondering, the largest is Asia.
